When I moved from Houston to New York City, I worked in a highly competitive sales role, fueled by the challenges and the competition. As I learned how to navigate the city, I saw all it had to offer. I wanted to sell the high-rise luxury condos in the sky. I had to get my name out there, and let’s be honest, pay rent. I learned the talent of mixing a Texas smile with amazing cocktails for A-list superstars, millionaires, and the crème de la crème of New York City's hottest party scenes. 

My time behind the bar helped me learn how to actively listen while multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Mixing that with my sales background, they together made for the best skill for ensuring my clients are heard during every transaction, just like serving up that perfect martini as ordered. Speaking of martinis, my favorite was always an espresso martini. Maybe because I lived on coffee and pizza back when I could burn off the calories just by breathing!
